The Race Face Next R 31 Carbon Wheelset in 29" combines a wide, modern rim profile with robust construction and very fast hub technology. With Boost dimensions (15x110 mm / 12x148 mm), 6-bolt disc, and SRAM XD freehub, it is perfectly suited for aggressive all-mountain and E-MTB setups where performance is key both uphill and downhill.

The UD carbon rims with 31 mm inner width and 37 mm outer width provide a stable contact surface for wide tires and ensure ample grip, high lateral stability in corners, and a controlled, modern ride characteristic. The asymmetrical rim profile improves spoke tension and thus wheel stiffness – ideal if you want to brake hard, steer precisely, and still have confidence in rough terrain.

At the heart of the wheelset is the Race Face Vault hub with extremely fast engagement of just 3°. This translates pedal strokes directly into propulsion – whether at the start, out of tight corners, or on technical uphills. Straight-pull, double-butted spokes (2.0/1.5/2.0) are laced in a 3-cross pattern and tensioned with black aluminum nipples. For emergencies, spare spokes for the rear wheel are included.

The wheelset is Tubeless Ready: With suitable rim tape, valves, and sealant, you can convert to a tubeless setup and benefit from lower pressures, more traction, and better puncture protection.
